The brief
To provide Disaster Recovery (DR) services to a large banking group for their regulatory print and customer mailings. Covering multiple brands, the client required identical services to commence within 48-hours of formal invocation.
What we did
We implemented our reserved capacity model. This ensures that the required level of operational capability is available for both business as usual, along with ‘burst’ volume ceilings to allow for peak periods.
Working closely with the client we created a detailed change process. The software and operating systems replicated the client’s primary provider down to the last detail. Thus ensuring the exact same versions of all communications are available to run at all times – with no compromise on quality.
Our printing capability, supply chain and agency services are all available to be leveraged to ensure the smooth running and simplicity of the DR service. This enables APS to manage the output end-to-end.
The result
The client has found the solution invaluable on occasions when they’ve needed support to print and mail large numbers of customer communications. Disaster Recovery was successfully invoked and was live, producing volume within 12-hours.
This seamless transition provided operational resilience, complete continuity and avoided any regulatory breach. Most importantly, the like for like service means that the disruption was invisible to the end customer.
